Have you decided on a location for your next vacation yet? If you haven’t, then the latest developments in technology for interplanetary traveling can make it possible for you to have an ‘out of this world’ traveling experience – literally. Elon Musk, the founder of Space X, recently gave a game-changing speech about creating a giant spaceship that will transport people to Mars. Ever since the conception of Space X – an interplanetary transport company founded in 2002 – Musk had envisaged changing the rocket industry completely by inhabiting humans on other planets.

But how will he manage to achieve this incredible feat? In his speech, he gave plan which proposed the manufacturing of a huge spaceship which could fly more than 100 passengers at a time making the trip more economical. Where NASA spends 10 billion dollars in sending one astronaut for space traveling, Musk believes that his company can bring the cost down to $200,000 per person. Elon Musk’s ambitions to colonize the Red Planet in the next few decades are met with fierce competition from NASA and Mars One which are both preparing to send astronauts to the Martian planet within the next decade. Mars One, a Dutch non-profit company, announced recently that they are planning a one-way trip to the Red Planet in 2026. When Mars One opened the applications for this one-way trip, more than 200,000 people signed up, out of which only a hundred were shortlisted.

Here is a list of 30 people, shortlisted by Mars One, to go on this epic mission to inhabit planet Mars and abandon Earth – Forever.

M1-KO AKA ‘The Man From Mars.’

Probably the most well-known candidate for MarsOne Expedition is the 38-year old Polish man named Mikolaj Zielinski but better known as M1-KO.

M1-KO claims to have been born on Mars a hundred thousand years ago and upon learning about planet Earth’s habitability, became the first Voyager to travel to our planet.

He assured MarsOne that he is extremely familiar with the Red Planet’s topography and can easily warn the other voyagers about the locations of geothermal sources.

M1-KO’s theories about Mars are bizarre, to say the least, and the people have continually questioned his sanity, but the fact remains that his application to MarsOne was good enough to beat 200,000 other applicants.
